I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
