The financier acquired a more modest island - the Little St James - back in 1998, but subsequently obtained the bigger Great St James in 2016 for a sum of $22.5 million.
This visual evidence indicate he had created development schemes to build upon the substantial island by erecting homes, an performance venue, an submerged workspace and a swimming pool.
